Principal's Message

Dear Sargeant Families,              

I am thrilled to welcome you back to what promises to be an incredible school year at Sargeant Elementary! As the new principal, I am excited to see our students on campus, meet our wonderful families, and embark on a journey of growth and learning together.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am a proud Roseville native and Oakmont High School graduate. My husband and I have two children who are current students in the district. My career in education began at Oakmont High School, where I started as a teacher. I then transitioned to Cooley Middle School, where I spent a decade teaching and embraced numerous leadership roles. I later served as the Interim Principal at Diamond Creek Elementary School and, for the past three years, as the Assistant Principal at Buljan Middle School.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, Sargeant is committed to developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people by motivating our students to succeed. Our students engage in a framework that supports critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and a global perspective. All students learn Spanish and develop key attributes to become globally-minded individuals.

We are committed to continuing the excellent work our staff has been doing. At Sargeant, we are fortunate to have an incredible team of dedicated and talented educators who go above and beyond to ensure our students succeed. Their passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to our students’ growth make Sargeant a truly exceptional place to learn and grow. Our focus will remain on building strong relationships, strengthening PBIS, continued integration of the IB framework and enhancing social/emotional strategies through Restorative Practices.

I want to recognize all you do for Sargeant. Our school community makes Sargeant special. If you would like to become more involved, I encourage you to join our Parent Teacher Club (PTC), which organizes events and funds many campus projects. Keep an eye out for more details on how to get involved.

As a collaborative, proactive, and supportive leader, I prioritize culture and relationships. You will see me actively participating in campus and staff community events and activities. I am committed to being visible throughout the school day, engaging with students and staff in classrooms and around the campus.

• Spirit Wear Order  
• Live Scan – Fingerprinting available for parents to complete if not already in the RCSD system. $70 fee. 

August 8th – First Day of School 

• 7:45am – 2:03pm 1st – 5th Grade 
• 7:45am – 12:42pm Kindergarten Dismissal August 8th - 16th 
• 7:45am – 12:47pm TK
